Polar Capital Holdings plc (Polar Capital), the specialist active asset management group, is pleased to confirm the appointment of Iain Evans as Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director.
This is effective from 25 September 2025, following the retirement of Gavin Rochussen from the Board after eight years of distinguished leadership.
Iain has been with Polar Capital for over 20 years, most recently serving as Global Head of Distribution. He brings deep industry experience and a strong understanding of the Group’s culture, strategy and client relationships.
Iain Evans, Chief Executive Officer, Polar Capital said: “As I step into the role of Chief Executive, my priority is on ensuring a smooth transition and building momentum for the next phase of Polar Capital’s growth.
“Over two decades with the firm have shown me the strength of our boutique structure, where independent investment teams work in partnership with a high-quality operating platform to deliver superior outcomes for investors.
“Looking ahead, it will be about continuity with progress: sharpening our differentiation, elevating what we do best and adapting to the evolving needs of our clients. While markets remain challenging, we are also beginning to see a more supportive environment for active managers, reflected in the strong outperformance of our technology team this year.
“I am confident that, together with colleagues across the firm, we have the talent, culture and resilience to deliver long-term value for our clients and shareholders.”
